Yesterday was a good day.
After a day at the office and a whipping of Jose in Pro-Evo (7-0 just to be clear),
we headed out to Chris and Hilda Orr's for a fabulous BBQ. Chris likes his food
to be cooked. no chance of food poisoning. It was good.
afterwards Donna and I came home and watched episode 5 of prison break. awesome.
But the thing thats stuck in my head since yesterday is this book I'm reading. you can see over in there on the right.
Pop goes the church,Tim Collins.
Where Bill Hybels talks about the seeker sensitive church, Collin's talks about not just being sensitive to the culture, but embracing it! Why do we fear bringing people to church?it's a different world. That said, Cornerstone is a edgy boundary pushing church, and i have no problem inviting people there as it's relevant.
my question to you is this, how do we engage culture in church?
your comments please.
